| Well, its true. I was boiling water, and I accidentally left the burner on the stove on, but it was on a really low level. Anyways, I was upstairs (On Here) and I had no idea until my dad got home. Then he told me that the gas release carbon something and could burn up the house...o.0... I can't believe I almost died! Thank god e came home when he did!
And now I have a headache ):

| Um, nothing would have happened, and what Scotland staid, just wasted energy! Even if you have a fire, the smoke detector would beep. You would listen to the beep, and run outside, or the fire department can hear the beep, that's how they know about fires, then they would come rushing over. End of story.

The Fire Dept. knows to come because they're called, or some security system sends a message to someone. They don't hear the beep...
Oh, and nothing would have happened. =P

1) You would listen to the beep... no you wouldn't  You'de sh1t yourself and run away
2) The fire people would hear the beep - if they lived in your house, yes
3) They wouldn't rush, they would walk slowly incase of waking people up
